MEET LAUREN

My journey to help myself inspired me to help others.
I have been in love with movement since the day I was born. I began playing sports at a very young age, and quickly developed a passion for soccer, however, I was unfortunately injured at the age of 11. This injury left me with chronic, foot pain. This created immense challenges, but I continued moving and hoping my body would heal itself in time. I tried every treatment, including surgery, until my doctor released me and said he had done everything he could. At that point, I made the difficult decision to quit playing soccer. I quickly turned into a computer nerd, spending all day long on my laptop. It seemed the movement wasn't helping, so I thought maybe rest would. Unfortunately, my condition only worsened. Getting back into movement was initially very painful, but I was determined to find a routine that accommodated my pain and with the appropriate accommodations, it began to help. I still struggle with daily pain, but by working with my body instead of against it, I have reignited my passion for sports. I spend the majority of my free time playing gaelic football, pickleball and bowling. My goal is to help everyone pursue their passions no matter their limitations.
